AbstractThe Change Management Directive applies to ALL products and projects in all phases, from Off-cycledevelopment, through Bid to Execution including Operation & Maintenance.The Product Family plays a key role in maintaining the standardization of the product and all technical changesmust be approved by the Product Family Manager1.The Product Family manager is accountable for the proper execution of the Change Management process withthe support of the Product Family Change Manager.In a transition phase for projects that have not been notified as belonging to a product family, the accountabilityof the Change Management process remains with Project Management.A change is:ANY alteration from the basis of a released requirement, document or product data comprised in anyConfiguration Baseline [15], whether it is technical (internally / externally) or commercial for the alteration tothe project / bid scope of work, e.g. standard design, generic product or component. This may be requestedduring the whole product life cycle.A change may be requested:· On Off-cycle phase in order to improve a standard product (R&D)· During the bid phase in order to make the product compliant with a “winning” offer· During the contract execution phase
