In the absence of toxicologicalstudies on MOSH, it is inappropriate to establish ahealth based guidance value for MOSH. So EFSAdecided to use Margin of Exposure (MOE) approachand selected the highest NOAEL (No ObservedAdverse Effect Level) below the lowest LOAEL(Lowest Observed Adverse Effect Level) as an RP forMOSH exposure scenario. MOE is calculated bydividing NOAEL by EDI (Es mated Dietary Intake). SoMOE approach was used in risk characteriza on ofMOSH in this study. MOAH and MOSH levels informula samples for infants and young children werein the range of no detec on to 17.35 mg/kg, as well as no detec on to 27.34 mg/kg. The non-detec on rates of MOAH and MOSH were 78.01% and 81.68%, respec vely.
