[Lift Top Table - Loaded and Unloaded - Cyclic] - Products with a table top that that can be raised and lowered shall have support mechanisms to prevent sudden collapse or dropping of the table top. - The support mechanism shall support the top so that at no position in the travel of the top from within 2.0 in. (50 mm) of the fully closed position through to the fully open position shall it drop more than 0.50 in. (13 mm) under the influence of its own weight, except in the last 2.0 in. (50 mm) of travel. The test shall be conducted in a similar manner to what is specified in section 8.27.1 - The product's top shall comply with this requirement and have no structural break or loss of serviceability a)Before being subjected to any opening and closing cycles b)After 100 opening and closing cycles with the table top loaded per the specified primary surface distributed load per Table 1, as described in Section 8.27.1.2. C) After 7000 opening and closing cycles, unloaded, as described in Section 8.27.1.2. -The support mechanism shall not require adjustment by the consumer to ensure adequate support to comply with the above.
