Sweeney and Gosfield admitted that no one's idea of a good time is to take a close look at their values and beliefs, and to recognize that those may be the reasons for their failure. Very often it's easy to find ways to explain why the world has not properly rewarded your efforts. But what the two researchers learned from their conversations with high achievers is that challenging their beliefs, at times even their goals, may sometimes push them further than they thought possible.
