The vehicle will be driven at the specified test speed in the lowest 3 transmission gears possible without exceeding the maximum engine rpm allowed (redline less 1000 rpm) and then the steering wheel angle will be turned until reaching 50% of the maximum achievable lateral acceleration for the ice, packed snow, wet basalt, and wet ceramic tile, test surfaces and 90% of the maximum achievable lateral acceleration on dry asphalt. Upon reaching the proper lateral acceleration, the accelerator pedal will be instantaneously released. All time references made for this maneuver are times after the accelerator pedal transitions through 50 percent of the initial accelerator pedal input. Minimum of 2 left hand and 2 right hand turn maneuvers must be run for each test condition. The Electronic Stability Control and Engine Drag Control systems must work in harmony in performing the following test matrix in order to meet the corresponding specifications:
