The dynamic wheel–rail force acting on the rail can be obtained, based on the total dynamic receptance. The wheel–rail force is transferred to the track slab through the fasteners, and then, to the long-spansteel truss cable-stayed bridge through the damping pad. The ultimateforce transmitted to the track slab and bridge is not only related to thewheel–rail force but also influenced by the force transmission ratio. Theforce transmission ratio refers to the root mean square value of the forcetransferred to the track slab and bridge when a unit harmonic force actson the rail. Fig. 15 shows the curves of the force transmission ratio forthe track slab and bridge.
