Proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is highly valued and widely studied in applications all over the world for itsgood properties: low operating temperature, high power density,quick starting, good stability, and no pollution, etc[1–5]. In termsof the different cooling ways, PEMFC can be divided into twotypes, air cooling and water cooling. Although the air-cooled selfhumidifying PEMFC belongs to the air cooling type with severaladvantages, for example, simple structure, low ancillary powerconsumption, and excellent performance, its output performanceis affected by some parameters, for instance, the temperature ofPEMFC stack, airflow,purge interval andso on[6–11].Water-cooledPEMFC can keep the best working humidity offuel cell with exteriorhumidifier, while the air-cooled self-humidifying PEMFC control itsworking condition by air flow, exhaust gas and so on. If the workingtemperature of the fuel cell increases, on one hand, the electrochemical activity of cathode and anode can be enhanced, on theother hand, the saturated vapor pressure of water can be increasedand water evaporation can be quickened
