Completeness of cytoreduction (CC) score: CC score reflects the thoroughness degree of peritoneal CRS since it measures the amount of macroscopically visible tumor that is seen after CRS (CC-0: no macroscopically visible tumor; CC-1: macroscopically tumor less than 2.5 mm in its largestdiameter; CC-2: macroscopically visible tumor between 2.5 mm and2.5 cm; CC-3: residual tumor 9 2.5 mm). Complete cytoreductive surgeryis considered only a CC-0 operation for high grade tumors but for lowgrade CC-0 and CC-1 are considered complete cytoreductions and HIPECshould only be performed if complete or nearby complete macroscopiccytoreduction is feasible . CC score presents the most definitive assessment to be used to assess prognosis with peritoneal surface malignancysince it has been demonstrated that complete cytoreduction has a strongpositive impact on survival
