abstract<BR>This paper mainly introduces the research and implementation of DDS signal generator based on FPGA. First of all, this paper introduces the development process and characteristics of the signal generator and DDS signal generator; then, it introduces the research status and scheme demonstration of this subject at home and abroad; then, it describes in detail the MIF file of each waveform data generated by MATLAB on the development board mainly composed of FPGA chip, DDS generated by Quartus ii12.0 programming and PS2 keyboard It controls the output waveform, the phase and frequency of the waveform, and uses VGA to display the current output waveform picture. Finally, it realizes the DDS signal generator with the frequency range of 100hz-5mhz and the waveform bandwidth of 100hz-5mhz, which can output square wave, sine wave, triangle wave and sawtooth wave. This design proves that it is successful to integrate hardware and software, combine DDS technology, and then program FPGA to generate a variety of waveforms.<BR>Key words: DDS technology; FPGA; signal generator<BR>
