Although this study has been designed and conducted seriously and carefully, and some achievements are made. Besides, it provides some significant references for the future study, it still has some limitations which should be focused in future study. First of all, the data collected in the study is limited owing to the limited research conditions. It is better to increase the number of subjects to make the results more credible. Besides, students in the four classes are primary school students, and it cannot proved that the major problems of teacher’s application of questioning strategies in English reading class exsited other than primary schools in the rural-urban fringe. Secondly, the obtained data have not been analyzed deeply yet due to the author’s limited theoretical and professional knowledge. The research is still in progress. It is worthy to make further study of the effective application of questioning strategies in English reading class in primary school in the rural-urban fringe.
